DESCRIPTION

All stainless steel construction with dosing auger / tube and separate microprocessor controls. A variety of neckpieces is available for mounting the unit at the throat of the machine.

The in-built slide provides very easy calibration in situ and a hopper drain out flap enables fast clean down for material change.

The auger is driven by a high precision stepper-motor. The controls provide variable-speed
setting and include a timer and a calibration function.

Due to the nature of the stepper motor, the auger speed can be varied from 10% to 100% thus providing a wide range of dosing rates without the need to change the auger size.

OPERATION

Injection Moulding :-

Upon receiving a screw-back signal from the machine, the auger will rotate at the set speed and the material will be dosed into the neckpiece where it blends with the virgin material. The auger runs for the duration of the screw-back period or for the time set on the timer.

Extrusion and Blow Moulding :-

The unit will run continuously at the speed set on the controls. The screw-speed follower function coordinates the speed of the dosing unit to the extruder speed.
